Ground floor, original 17th-century limestone wall, rain shower, wrought iron bed. Petra is the Greek word for stone. This studio is built from it.
The wrought iron bed, the duck egg blue kitchen cabinetry, the steel dinning table and the Cocomat sofa. Each piece was chosen because it belongs here, not because it came from a catalogue. The result is a room that feels genuinely inhabited rather than prepared.
Tiled floors keep the studio cool through the summer months, a natural quality that the thick stone walls reinforce. Direct access from the laneway makes arrival and departure effortless. The square layout uses every corner without wasting a single metre.

From Splantzia Square, take the lane heading in (west) toward the restuarant the Well of the Turk. At the end of the little square you turn right (north) on Sorvolou. The little lane way immediately to your left (hugs the Ionas Boutique Hotel) is Parados Sorvolou. The building is number 14 — a restored stone house on the right. The door is green with a brass handle.
